Zoom Overview

TBDJ is using the Zoom platform to deliver many of our shiurim, classes, and online events. Zoom allows for interactive sessions, where participants can see the speaker and one another, view handouts and source sheets on screen, ask questions, and engage in discussion.

There are two very good (and short) video tutorials you can watch in order to become familiar with the tool:

1. Join a Meeting

2. Meeting Controls

TBDJ's Zoom Rooms

To make it easy to find and access our Zoom classes, we have created 3 Zoom Rooms, which we refer to by name in all our announcements and reminders.

Important: Meeting IDs, Passwords and Program Links

  1. For Zoom security reasons (i.e. to reduce the risk of disruption from unwanted guests), we will never share Zoom Meeting IDs & Passwords on our website, or on Facebook. You will also not see links to join a program advertised on our website or on Facebook.

  2. Instead, you will see us refer to our Zoom locations by their rooms names (see below). Links to these rooms will only be shared via email. Please use the links provided to you in your TBDJ emails to access our programs, and please do not share these links on Facebook or any other public web platform.

  3. Please use the latest link provided, and not any bookmarked links or links shared in the past. For security reasons, these links change regularly.

  4. If you have any questions, please reach out to us via email.

Used for special programs and series such as Monday Night Lecture, A Work of Art, Book & Film Club, and more. If you would like to use it for a social get-together with a specific group, please email us. We'd be happy to host it for you.

Used for regularly scheduled shiurim and classes, including Lunch & Learn, Gemarah shiur, Advanced Parsha shiur, Lunchtime Halacha.

Used for both Rabbi Rothschild

and Rabbi Buchinger's daily Daf Yomi shiurim.

Some of our programs take place in special Zoom rooms. When this happens, you will be sent a link, via email, to access that program correctly. Example: Daily Mincha.
